Destination Addiction is defined as: Living for the future at the expense of the here and now. People who have this addiction tend to say things like the following:
1. "If I had a better job, then I'd be happy" - If abetter job didn't come would you be miserable for the rest of your life or would you be thanful for what you have NOW and work towards making things better.
2. "If I found a man with these certain qualities, then everything will be perfect" - When you find this man, he won't be perfect and you will make new rules over and over again in search for perfection.
3. "Once I make more money and move into a bigger house, then I'll get married" - As if the marriage is dependant on the house.
The "DESTINATION" that most of us seek simply doesn't exist and when we get there we will alway want more.
